Another great day for mountain bike racing.  Today my goal was to capture everyone in a portait style photo.  I usually use a wide angle lense but decided to pull out the 70-200.  This is pretty much the standard in sport shooting lens and it is easy to fall in love with.  You can find all of our photos here or click on slideshow to see of some of the highlights.  [more…]

Our photos have been posted of June 18th’s Velo on the Volcano at Mt. Tabor.  It was a beautiful night to be racing and taking photos.  My goal for the night was to capture the intensity that the riders have.  I attempted to achieve this by using slow shutter speed, underexposing the background and lighting the rider just enough.  Since I don’t control where the riders are on the road, you will find some images brighter and others darker.  To see a slideshow of the hightlights click on more. We have been neglecting our blog, but it doesn’t mean we haven’t been out taking photos.  A few weeks back we were the official photographers for the New Belgium Urban Assualt Ride here in Portland.  We saw a lot of people out having wacky fun on their bikes.  We even saw some local racers like Team Beer and Doug Ollerenshaw.  You can see a slideshow of our highlights by clicking more or see all of our photos of the event.  [more…]
